Highway charging requires rapid charging; an ideal charging speed is 5-10 minutes to add 200-400 kilometers of range. However, highways are far from urban areas, making power distribution difficult and extremely costly. We address this by implementing a comprehensive solution combining photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, and supercharging on service area rooftops and roadside slopes to solve the power distribution problem for deploying supercharging equipment in service areas.
